Design

What did I learn?

I applied Gestalt psychology and visual design principles to my design to make it aesthetically pleasing and functional. Also applied Plutchik’s Theory of Emotion and Norman’s three levels of design for boosting user engagement with emotional design.

I developed an emotional design strategy to help my health app trigger all three experience levels (Visceral, Behavioral, Reflective) and fully engage users using emotion.

Also I created a style guide to make my designs reuse and standardize a set of design rules called Design Language System for my project.

Finally, I collaborated my design with other designers and asked them for feedback and critique.

I agree...

“Good design is actually a lot harder to notice than poor design, in part because good designs fit our needs so well that the design is invisible,”
― Donald A. Norman, The Design of Everyday Things
