Hey there!

I’m Vidya, and I’m a UX designer with a background in teaching computer science.

I believe that as a teacher I have tacitly used the design process in one form or another to discover, define, develop and deliver (investigate, ideate, implement and iterate :)). My experience of interacting closely with students with different needs, life experiences and abilities in a multicultural environment prevents me from making decisions based only on existing knowledge, assumptions and biases.

I am extremely careful not to fall in love with my own ideas without finding out if it is really what people want or need. Being asked all sorts of “why” questions all the time, I have the superpower of thinking outside the box and discovering the unknown. With the help of the design methods and frameworks I have acquired, I can collect, connect  and translate data into meaningful information.

I am ready to make a difference in an innovative team by using my skills to make design thinking tangible, testable and deliverable.

Last but not least, I am the mother of a teenager, so I have enormous power. I can solve mysteries, fight his battles, heal his wounds. I do that by understanding and observing how he is, not how I would want him to be. I acquired this superpower as a mother.

I would like to apply design thinking in real world scenario. So please do contact me for employment, collaboration or just about anything related to design and experience.
